- Introducing others to Jesus and/or helping them to walk in Christ.

- Iguacu Falls in Brazil – it dwarfs Niagra Falls and is spectacular

Anything else you’d like people to know?
- My marriage to Ruth, my wife of 24 years, is beyond what I could have ever asked or imagined. She is the perfect “help mate” for me and she says I’m pretty good for her too. If I had it all to do over again, I’d do it all over again.
- Valley is the church I always knew had to be out there. A church that teaches the word of God without compromise yet does so with enormous grace for where people are in their spiritual process.

What are your favorite comfort foods?
- I have hypoglycemia. People ask me all the time about my diet.
I eat the same food virtually every day:
5 a.m., 9:20 a.m., 3 p.m. -- sugar-free yogurt and almonds
7:15 a.m. -- 1 cup old-fashioned oatmeal, half cup blueberries, 3 ounces of meat
11:00 a.m. -- 1 cup broccoli, half cup blueberries, 1 ounce cheese, 3 ounces of meat, half piece of homemade wheat bread.
5 p.m. -- whatever my wife cooks (my one chance for variety)
10:00 p.m. -- 1 piece of homemade wheat bread with chunky peanut butter, 12 ounce glass of skim milk with sugar-free protein shake.

- America's funniest home videos
Pets?
- I am extremely allergic to animals... however, I grew up with a wonderful Dalmatian dog, "Freckles." Someday I would love to have my own chicken coup for fresh eggs and cheap protein.

If you weren’t working at Valley Church, where would you be working?
- I would love to focus on teaching the Bible, or I would like to travel the country sharing the Gospel using chemistry demonstrations.
